Halloween

It was so nice to have a mild Halloween night this year. Nobody froze and I think we all had an enjoyable night. Collin, being Star Wars obsessed at the moment, was Anakin Skywalker. Michael was Darth Vader. Annie, breaking from the theme, was a beautiful fairy. She is so much fun to dress up, and looking at her pictures, I have a hard time believing that she is only two years old. Collin and Michael had fun with their light sabers and just dressing up, period. IMG_2160Anakin SkywalkerAnnie on HalloweenDarth Vader

First, we went to a combined ward Trunk or Treat. Collin, knowing what Halloween is all about, took off, trick or treating from car to car. Annie and Michael weren’t quite sure what to think, but as I took them around, they quickly got the hang of things. By the time we were half way around, Michael was confident to take the candy out of the bowls that people were holding instead of standing there holding his candy bucket waiting for candy to magically drop in.

After the trunk-or-treat, we headed to my parent’s house so they could see how cute the kids looked. My mom and dad were on their front porch dressed as hill billies serving chili, hot cider and honey-cinammon popcorn, talking in a hill-billy accent with their blackened teeth. It was pretty funny and the kids had a good time.
