Our oldest just turned 5 years old! I really can’t believe that, but it’s true. We had a couple parties for him this year. The first one was at my parents house the Sunday before his birthday. He loves to be at Grandpa and Grandma Grouch’s as we call them (We call them that because their last name is Greenhalgh, pronounced Green-ouch, put the g, and the ouch together, you get Grouch, it’s not because they are grouchy.)

The second party was at our house on his birthday. Before everyone came we had a special birthday dinner (Collin requested spaghetti and meatballs.) After dinner, Matt decorated the family room with balloons and streamers. We thought he did a fantastic job. At about 7:00 p.m. Matt’s family started showing up. Collin opened more presents and then we had cake and ice cream, and then we enjoyed the company of those that came to celebrate with us.
