Entertainingly Clean

Today, Collin got the mop out and asked if he could have a bucket of water to clean the kitchen floor with. Well, okay. Quickly, I swept the floor so that Collin wouldn’t get distracted away from this most noble of requests, and just as quickly got a bucket of hot, clear water. If I were the one mopping the floor, I would also have added a cleaner of some sort, but because Michael was awake and he’s attracted to any kind of accessible water, I left the cleaner out. Collin and Annie proceeded to take turns cleaning the floor and slip n’ sliding all over the floor. Since they were such a cleaning mood, I followed suit and started on the bathrooms. The kids excitement for cleaning the floor turned into enthusiasm for cleaning the bathrooms! You’d have thought we were going to go do something super cool the way Annie and Collin were falling all over themselves to scrub the toilet and wash the sink and tub. We got the downstairs bathroom clean, the kid’s bathroom, and my bathroom all spic and span. Then all three of them had a bath afterwards because while we were cleaning my bathroom, Michael got in the tub clothes and all and turned the water on. Clean bathrooms, clean kids, what more could I ask for?
