Art City Days Carnival

On Saturday, June 12, we took the kids to the carnival for Art City days. Much to our delight, there was a rock wall, and they didn’t have a height restriction on who could climb. We’ve wanted Collin to try this for a long time because the kid climbs everything. So they got him harnessed up and he started his ascent. He did pretty good, until he got just higher than Matt’s head and he started having 2nd thoughts. So he decided to come down.

For some reason, the rides weren’t going at 10:00 when we first got there and we walked around for an hour or so until they did. When they were finally operational, Collin and Annie decided they wanted to go on the Ferris wheel with Matt. I don’t go on carnival Ferris wheels. I did once with my sister Amber, and she rocked the seat the whole time, terrifying me. Matt took the camera up with him so he could take pictures of the kids faces. I think this one of Annie was her first time at the top. That is probably what I looked like the last time I went on a Ferris wheel.

I think Collin was a little more relaxed at the idea of being up so high.

After the Ferris wheel, the kids went on a ride with Mikey and their cousin William. They liked the airplanes a lot.
